The MPL Philippines Season 17 regular season is done, the standings are locked, and starting tomorrow (Wednesday, May 27), six teams will collide at the FilOil Centre in San Juan City for a shot at the title, $150,000 in prize money, and two golden tickets to MSC 2026 in Paris.
If you’ve been following MPL PH this split, you already know the story at the top. If you haven’t, buckle up. This playoffs bracket is loaded.
๐๏ธ How the MPL Philippines Playoffs 2026 Bracket Works
The format splits into two phases. First up: Play-Ins on May 27. Seeds 3 through 6 fight in single-elimination Best-of-5 matches. Winners advance to the Upper Bracket Semifinals. Seeds 1 and 2 skip the Play-Ins entirely and wait in the Upper Bracket.
From there, the bracket shifts to double elimination. Every match stays Bo5 except for the Lower Bracket Final and the Grand Final, which are both Best-of-7. The two Grand Finalists punch their tickets to MSC 2026, the MLBB Mid Season Cup at the Esports World Cup in Paris, France.
Five days of MLBB. No second chances in the Play-Ins.

๐ฅ Team Liquid PH: The Three-Peat Is Right There
Team Liquid PH finished the regular season at 13-1, winning 27 games while dropping only six. The Cavalry swept Smart Omega, ONIC PH, TNC, and Twisted Minds during the regular season. Their one series loss? A tight 1-2 against Team Falcons PH back in Week 6.
TLPH won Season 15. Won Season 16. A third consecutive MPL PH title would make it four championships since the org entered the league in Season 13 back in 2024.
A big reason for the Cavalry’s firepower this season is Indonesian gold laner Sultan “AeronnShikii” Muhammad, who came over from Team Liquid Indonesia to replace Oheb. The import experiment paid off. AeronnShikii’s aggressive, skirmish-heavy playstyle fits right alongside KarlTzy in the jungle, Sanji in the mid lane, Sanford on EXP, and Jaypee on roam. Coach Aeon (Ong Wei Sheng, formerly Team SMG SG) brought structure to the chaos.
Jaypee, quietly one of the best roamers in the league, finished the regular season at the top of the assists leaderboard with 328 assists. The Cavalry doesn’t rely on one carry. They spread the damage, and that makes them hard to draft against.
๐ฆ Team Falcons PH: The Real Challenger
Team Falcons PH posted a 12-2 regular season record (26-8 in games). Their only losses came against TLPH in Week 2 and Smart Omega in Week 7. This is the best regular season Falcons have ever had in their three seasons in MPL PH, jumping from a 4th seed in S15 and 6th seed in S16 to the 2nd seed now.
With players like Super Marco and Hadji performing at their peak, Falcons finally look like a team that can threaten TLPH in a full Bo5 or Bo7 set. They start in the Upper Bracket alongside Team Liquid, which gives them the safety net of a second chance through the Lower Bracket if things go wrong early.
If you’re looking at the MPL PH Season 17 playoffs bracket and wondering who can actually beat TLPH, Falcons are the only name that makes sense right now.
๐ฎ Play-Ins Preview: Who Survives?
ONIC PH (#3) vs Aurora Gaming PH (#6) โ 3:00 PM SGT
ONIC PH finished the regular season at 9-5, the clear third-best team in the league. Their gold laner Savero (Clayton Kuswanto, imported from Indonesia) and jungler K1NGKONG give them a ceiling that can trouble anyone on a good day. The question is consistency. ONIC lost to both top-2 teams and dropped series to mid-table squads when they shouldn’t have.
Aurora Gaming PH walked into this season as M7 World Champions. They swept Alter Ego 4-0 in the Grand Final back in January, with Light winning Finals MVP. So what happened in the regular season? A 5-9 record and the 6th seed. The world champs barely scraped into playoffs after a brutal slump from Week 3 to Week 7, where they won just one match out of seven.
World championship pedigree counts for a lot in a Bo5, though. Demonkite, Edward, Yue, and Light have been in pressure cookers far bigger than a Play-In match. If Aurora’s playoff switch flips, ONIC has a real fight on their hands.
Smart Omega (#4) vs Twisted Minds PH (#5) โ 7:00 PM SGT
Smart Omega finished at 6-8 but made noise when it mattered. They went on a legitimate win streak in the second half, including a massive upset over Falcons PH in Week 7 that snapped an eight-match winning streak for the #2 seed. After missing playoffs the past two seasons, just being here is a step forward for the Barangay.
Twisted Minds PH also finished at 6-8 but took the 5th seed on a worse game record (13-20 vs Omega’s 15-19). Their roster, anchored by MP the King and Lansu, picked up a notable win over Aurora in Week 6 and showed flashes of strong macro play. This matchup is a coin flip, and the winner gets TLPH waiting in the Upper Bracket Semifinals. Not exactly a prize.
๐ What’s at Stake Beyond the Trophy
The $150,000 prize pool matters, but the real prize sits beyond Manila. The two Grand Finalists represent the Philippines at MSC 2026, part of the Esports World Cup in Paris, France, with a $3,000,000 prize pool. Team Liquid PH won MSC 2025 in Riyadh last year, so they’ll be chasing a repeat on the international stage too.
For a team like Aurora, the path to Paris runs through the most dangerous bracket in Southeast Asian MLBB. They need to win two straight Bo5 series from the Play-Ins just to reach the Upper Bracket Final. No room for slow starts.

๐ฎ Bold Predictions
TLPH vs Falcons in the Grand Final. The regular season pointed to this matchup all split long, and the bracket supports it. Both teams have the depth and the coaching to survive a long playoff run.
Aurora is the dark horse. Sixth seed means nothing when your roster has a world title from four months ago. If Light and Demonkite bring their M7 form, Aurora can bulldoze through the Lower Bracket.
The Team Liquid PH three-peat is the most likely outcome. Nobody in this bracket has shown they can match the Cavalry across a full Bo7 when it matters. AeronnShikii changed this team’s ceiling, and the core of KarlTzy, Sanji, Sanford, and Jaypee has been winning together since 2024.
Tune in tomorrow, May 27 at 3:00 PM SGT, for the first Play-In match. The road to MSC 2026 starts at the FilOil Centre.
